1548. Designation Of Protected Premises -- 18 U.S.C. 1752

Section 1752 of Title 18 authorizes the Secretary of the Treasury to designate, by notice-type publication, buildings and grounds which constitute the temporary residences or offices of the President and other Secret Service protectees, and to restrict areas where the President is or will be temporarily visiting. These designations and regulations are published in the Federal Register at 31 C.F.R. Secs. 408.1 to 408.3. Information on the latest updating of the temporary residence regulations can be obtained from the Office of the Chief Counsel, U.S. Secret Service (202) 435-5771.
