Kavankumar Patel, 27, of Gujarat, India, was sentenced on May 26, 2026, in federal court in Omaha, Nebraska, for two counts of sex trafficking of a minor. 

Charles Aldrich, 18, of the Omaha Nation Indian Reservation, was sentenced on May 27, 2026, for assault with a dangerous weapon with the intent to do bodily harm and using, carrying, or brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence.

Brian T. Smith, 52, and Myria K. Phaisan, 50, both of Omaha, Nebraska, were sentenced in federal court in Omaha for conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

Alexi Zamora-Chona, 30, an illegal alien from Mexico, was sentenced on May 19, 2026, in federal court in Omaha, Nebraska, for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and possession of a short-barreled rifle in furtherance of drug trafficking.

Byron G. Morales, 57, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced on May 18, 2026, in federal court in Omaha for receipt and distribution of child pornography. 

The federal Grand Jury for the District of Nebraska has returned 10 unsealed Indictments charging 12 defendants.

Robert Crable, Jr., 60, of Bayard, Nebraska, was sentenced on May 14, 2026, in federal court in Lincoln, Nebraska, for one count of conspiracy to produce child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography.

Brandy Miller, 48, of Flagstaff, Arizona, was sentenced on May 13, 2026, in federal court in Omaha, Nebraska, for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has appointed U.S. Attorney Lesley A. Woods of the District of Nebraska to serve on the Administration’s inaugural Attorney General’s Advisory Committee of U.S. Attorneys (AGAC) for a term of three years.

Joyce M. Beauchamp, 40, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced on May 13, 2026, in federal court in Omaha, for Production of Child Pornography and Distribution of Child Pornography. 

Stephanie Marie Bartels, 32, of Lincoln, Nebraska, was sentenced on Friday, May 8, 2026, in federal court Lincoln for conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 40 grams or more of a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of fentanyl, and possession with intent to distribute 40 grams or more of fentanyl. 

Darren Tracy, 55, of Falls City, Nebraska, was sentenced on May 8, 2026, in federal court in Lincoln, Nebraska, for receipt of child pornography.
