Derby man asks undercover agent to create fake child pornography
For Immediate Release
U.S. Attorney's Office, District of Kansas
WICHITA, KAN. – A Kansas man was sentenced to 121 months in prison for distributing child sexual abuse material (CSAM).
According to court documents, Cody S. Bingham, 25, of Derby pleaded guilty to one count of distribution of child pornography.
In 2025, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) infiltrated an online chatroom named "Filthy Pedo No Limits." Agents observed users exchanging CSAM. One of the users, who the FBI subsequently identified as Cody Bingham, distributed multiple CSAM posts to the group chat and asked users to create fake CSAM pictures of a minor victim. The undercover FBI agent then engaged in private conversations with Bingham, who sent photographs of this minor to the agent.
Agents executed a search warrant at Bingham’s home and seized his electronic devices which contained CSAM images of sexual acts with minors as young as infants.
“The conduct in this case is revolting,” said U.S. Attorney Ryan A. Kriegshauser. “One does not stumble into a chatroom called ‘Filthy Pedo No Limits’ by accident. Those that deal in this disgusting material can expect to serve long sentences when they are brought to justice.”
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) investigated the case.
Project Safe Childhood
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice.
