Click Here for the FY24 TAP Application

Tribal Access Program – 2024 Applications are being accepted from June 24 – August 30, 2024

The Department of Justice is expanding the Tribal Access Program (TAP) for National Crime Information, which provides federally-recognized Tribes access to national crime information databases for both criminal justice and non-criminal justice purposes.  Tribes interested in participating in TAP must submit the application by August 30 at midnight. TAP allows Tribes to more effectively serve and protect their communities by ensuring the exchange of critical data.

A list of frequently asked questions regarding deployments is located here.

In order to assist and inform interested Tribes about TAP and its capabilities, TAP will host a TAP Overview webinar on the following dates and times (EST).  Please email TAP.App@usdoj.gov and let us know which event you are interested in attending.

TAP Overview: Provides an overview of the TAP program and benefits for criminal justice and non-criminal justice agencies to enhance Tribal public safety.

Who should attend:  Anyone interested in learning about TAP, including Tribal police chiefs, judges, court administrators, sex offender registry managers, social service directors, and senior executive Tribal government leaders who will decide whether their Tribe should submit an application during the current application period.
