Victim compensation fund
I understand that right now you are in the development
stage of the rules that will govern the administration
of the September 11 Victim Compensation Fund. I
believe the purpose of this Fund is to provide
compensation to individuals who were injured, or to
relatives of those who were killed, as a result of the
events of September 11th.
In my opinion, I believe it is essential that the fund
includes compensation for those relatives who lost
their life partners or de facto parents or children
regardless of sexual orientation or marital status.
Let us not compound this tragedy of Sept 11th by
discriminating against those people who lost their
loved ones.
Please take what I have said in consideration as you
write up the rules for the fund.
