Director Cliff White addressed the 2021 Annual Conference of the National Association of Bankruptcy Trustees (NABT), which was held in part virtually, on August 26, 2021. His remarks focused on the Bankruptcy Administration Improvement Act, bankruptcy filing trends, success of the Small Business Reorganization Act, post-pandemic changes in section 341 meetings and debtor audits, upcoming changes to the Chapter 7 Trustee Handbook, consumer protection and the emerging issue of bifurcation of debtor attorneys’ fees, and diversity and inclusion in the bankruptcy system.

His remarks focused on filing trends and challenges to chapter 13 trustee operations, post-pandemic changes to bankruptcy administration, best practices for document production requests, and diversity and inclusion.
