Eastern District of North Carolina
About the District
From Corolla to Calabash, with the natural beauty of the Outer Banks in between, to the lapping sound of the Inner Banks, across the low lying forests and farms heading west into the Sandhills, up into the Piedmont with its urban centers, God blessed the 44 counties comprising the Eastern District of North Carolina with gorgeous topography, unique culture, and prosperous commerce. While nature’s bounty abounds with fishing, hunting, beaches, and boating, real ones know that Eastern BBQ rules the world. North Carolina has the third most active-duty military personnel, with almost all of those concentrated in the EDNC at Ft. Bragg, Pope Army Airfield, Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Camp Lejeune, and Marine Corps Air Stations Cherry Point and New River, not to mention the large Coast Guard presence up and down the coast. Other federal property found in the EDNC includes the pristine National Seashores in Cape Lookout and Cape Hatteras along with the Wright Brothers’ Memorial, and FCI Butner. The dedicated Assistant United States’ Attorneys from the EDNC represent the United States of America in all manner of federal criminal and civil legal matters throughout the 44 counties and the six federal Courthouses in Elizabeth City, Greenville, New Bern, Wilmington, Fayetteville, and Raleigh. They harness partnerships forged among the local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies and local district attorneys to take criminals who would harm our communities and families off the streets. The men and women who take the oath to serve the public as part of the EDNC USAO consider this solemn duty to be a privilege and thank the community for allowing them the honor to be legal warriors on behalf of the USA.
God Bless America and God Bless North Carolina!
