NEWARK, N.J. – A Jersey City attorney today admitted defrauding his clients of more than $2 million dollars and other crimes.

Tampa, FL - United States District Judge Kathryn Kimball Mizelle has sentenced Lemar Cowart (27, St. Petersburg) to 12 years and 7 months in federal prison for possession of controlled substances with the intent to distribute them.  Armani Dilworth (28, St. Petersburg) was sentenced to 8 years and 10 months’ imprisonment for possession of controlled substances with the intent to distribute them and possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime. Cowart and Dilworth had pleaded guilty in May 2023.

Earlier today, in federal court in Brooklyn, Somorie Moses, also known as “Somorie Barfield,” “Sugar Bear,” “Bear” and “Daddy,” pleaded guilty in the federal courthouse in Brooklyn to sex trafficking eight women and to the 2017 murder of one of the women, Leondra Foster.

St. Croix, VI – United States Attorney Delia L. Smith announced today that Elvin Wrensford, 38, of St. Croix, pleaded guilty before United States Magistrate Judge Emile Henderson, III to Murder Second Degree and Possession of a Firearm in a School Zone.

Quintan Kimbrough, 33, of Omaha, Nebraska, was sentenced today in federal court in Omaha for being a felon in possession of a firearm. 

BOSTON – A Canton man was convicted today by a federal jury in Boston of sex trafficking a minor who had been reported missing.

Jackson, Miss. – A Philadelphia man was sentenced to 68 months in federal prison for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine on the Choctaw Indian Reservation.

BOSTON – A Boston man was sentenced today in connection with distributing multiple kilograms of fentanyl, including thousands of counterfeit fentanyl pills, to a cooperating source.
