Norwell Man Sentenced to More Than Two Years in Prison for Possessing Counterfeit Fentanyl-Laced Pills

BOSTON – A Norwell man was sentenced today in federal court in Boston for narcotics charges. 

Frederick Dechristoforo, 58, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Judge Denise J. Casper to 30 months in prison to be followed by three years of supervised release. In February 2024, Dechristoforo pleaded guilty to one count of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.
    
In December 2021, a search was conducted at Dechristoforo’s residence in Norwell. During the search, approximately 785 pills that were laced with fentanyl were seized.

Acting United States Attorney Joshua S. Levy and Michael J. Krol, Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in New England made the announcement today. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Benjamin Tolkoff and John Reynolds of the Criminal Division prosecuted the case.
