North Adams Man Pleads Guilty To Possession Of Child Pornography

BOSTON – A North Adams man pleaded guilty today in U.S. District Court in Springfield to possession of material involving the sexual exploitation of a minor.

Wade Galli, 47, pleaded guilty before U.S. District Judge Mark G. Mastroianni. On May 29, 2013, Galli possessed numerous digital files containing child pornography. Galli told investigators that he also filmed girls aged 13 to 20 at beaches in Pittsfield and Vermont, and he surreptitiously filmed videos at a nude beach in Vermont about a dozen times.

Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 8, 2015.

Pursuant to a plea agreement, Galli has agreed to be sentenced to between 36 and 108 months in prison, and 10 years of supervised release.

United States Attorney Carmen M. Ortiz and Bruce M. Foucart, Special Agent in Charge of Homeland Security Investigations in Boston, made the announcement today. The case was investigated with the assistance of the Massachusetts State Police and the North Adams Police Department. It is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Steven H. Breslow of Ortiz's Springfield Branch Office.
