Update: US v. Alexanda Amon Kotey and El Shafee Elsheikh

ALEXANDRIA, Va.Defendants Alexanda Amon Kotey, 36, and El Shafee Elsheikh, 32, two militant fighters for the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS) charged for their alleged participation in a brutal hostage-taking scheme that resulted in the deaths of four American citizens, will next appear in federal court in Alexandria tomorrow.

Both defendants will appear via video link for their respective detention hearings at 11:30 a.m. EST. The hearings are open to the public and will occur in courtroom 1000 before U.S. Magistrate Judge Theresa C. Buchanan. The hearings will also be available via public teleconference. Later tomorrow afternoon, both defendants will appear via video link for their respective arraignment hearings at 2 p.m. EST.
