On December 12, 2018 David Bukowski was charged by indictment by the United States Attorney's Office, District of Alaska. Counts 1, Aiding and Abetting Computer Intrusions, Count 2, Criminal Forfeiture Allegation.  full details can be read in the Indictment.  See docket 2 below.   ​

Scheduled Court Hearings

December 12, 2018:  Indictment returned

January 3, 2019 at 10:30 am, Anchorage Courtroom 6:  An Arraignment and Detention Hearing was held.  Hearing continued.  See docket 14 below.    

January 11, 2019 at 9:30 am, Anchorage Courtroom 6:  A continued Arraignment and Detention Hearing was held.  Conditions of Release were set.  See docket 24 below.  A Final Pretrial Conference was scheduled to be held in Anchorage Courtroom 1 on March 11 at 8:30 am.  Trial was scheduled to be held in Anchorage Courtroom 1 on March 11 at 9:00 am.

February 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm, Anchorage Courtroom 1:  A Motion to Continue Hearing was held.  The case was declared complex and the motion was granted.  The Final Pretrial Conference was rescheduled to November 4 at 8:30 am.  Trial was rescheduled to November 4 at 9:00 am.

April 26, 2019 at 3:00 pm, Anchorage Courtroom 1:  A Status Conference Hearing was held.  A joint oral motion to continue was made and granted.  The Final Pretrial Conference was rescheduled to December 9 at 8:30 am.  Trial was rescheduled to December 9 at 9:00am.

May 30, 2019 at 9:30 am, Anchorage Courtroom 6:  A Bail Review Hearing was held.  An unopposed motion to modify the conditions of release was granted.  See docket 42 below.

July 12, 2019:  Defense filed a Notice of Intent to Change Plea

July 18, 2019:  A signed Plea Agreement was filed.  See docket 62 below.

July 30, 2019 at 9:30 am, Anchorage Courtroom 6:  A Status Conference Hearing was held.  Oral motion to schedule a Proposed Change of Plea Hearing was granted. 

August 13, 2019 at 11:00 am, Anchorage Courtroom 6:  A Proposed Change of Plea Hearing was held.  Defendant pled guilty.  An Imposition of Sentence Hearing was scheduled November 13, 2019 at 1:30 pm.

November 12, 2019:  The Court issued a text order changing the Imposition of Sentence Hearing to a Status Conference Hearing.

November 13, 2019 at 10:20 am, Anchorage Courtroom 1:  A Status Conference Hearing was held.  Court ordered government and defense to file a joint status report.  Based on that, a new sentencing date will be set.

November 18, 2019:  Government filed it's Sentencing Memorandum.  See docket 95 below.

January 3, 2020:  Court issued a text order setting the Imposition of Sentence Hearing to be held on February 4, 2020 at 10:00 am.  

February 3, 2020:  Government filed a motion for Alternative Victim Notification.  See docket 112 below.

February 4, 2020 at 10:00 am, Anchorage Courtroom 1:  An Imposition of Sentence Hearing was held.  Motion for Alternative Victim Notification was granted.  Defendant was sentenced to 5 years of probation, and ordered to pay a $100 special assessment.  A restitution hearing was scheduled for May 5, 2020 at 10:30 am in Anchorage Courtroom 1.   

Restitution Hearing has been vacated due to COVID-19.  A new date has not been set at this time.
