Law Enforcement Coordination
The Department of Justice initiated the Law Enforcement Coordination initiative in 1981. All 94 U.S. Attorney's offices have LECC programs, each tailored to the specific needs of the District.
The Law Enforcement Coordinator ("LEC") fosters cooperation and coordination among local, state and federal law enforcement, and provides resources, information and training. The LEC offers training seminars specific to law enforcement needs on areas such as firearms, drug trafficking, white collar crimes, and street gangs.
