From September 19 to 20, 2022, the ICITAP-Indonesia Criminal Investigation Development Project collaborated with the Office of Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT) to provide the seventh in a series of regional TIP Workshops focusing on Victim Restitution and Assistance.
On September 14, the ICITAP-Bangladesh mission reported on ICITAPs Counter-Wildlife Trafficking (CWT) program, which was honored to be joined on their recent wildlife prosecutions training event held in Sreemangal, Sylhet, Bangladesh by women law enforcement officers from across the Bangladesh Forest Department and Bangladesh Police.
On September 13, ICITAP’s Assistant Director for ICITAP Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) announced that in July of 2022, the second iteration of the United States Government Women, Peace, and Security Congressional Report was released, showcasing key milestones from participating departments in the first implementation year of the WPS strategy.

On September 2, ICITAP-North Macedonia concluded a five-day regional course in Skopje on Advanced Techniques to combat Narcotics Trafficking in partnership with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA). This U.S. European Command (EUCOM)-sponsored regional course included twenty-four counter-narcotics investigators from Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Romania, Serbia and North Macedonia. It was designed to provide the participants with advanced knowledge and skills to apply during investigations in regional and international drug trafficking cases.
Newly issued 2022 Summary and Assessment highlights a range of efforts by agencies in key areas of FOIA administration and includes OIP guidance for further improvement.
