The Criminal Division
Michael D. Anderson, Chief
The Criminal Division is responsible for prosecuting violations of federal criminal law in the Eastern District of California (EDCA). Assistant U.S. Attorneys (AUSAs) in the Criminal Division work closely with federal, state and local law enforcement partners to prevent, investigate, and prosecute all types of federal crimes.

The Civil Division

The Civil Division litigates all civil cases for and against the United States, its agencies, and officers. The division has three units, all of which include personnel in both Sacramento and Fresno.

The Administrative Division
Shelley Smith, Administrative Officer
The Administrative Division provides a wide variety of support services to all of the employees within the district. The scope of responsibility includes personnel management, budget administration, space management, procurement of supplies and services, information technology and facilities management.
