Central Utah Water Distribution System

The Land Acquisition Section handled cases on behalf of the Department of the Interior to acquire sites for the Central Utah Project. Authorized and funded by Congress in 1956, the project is the largest water resources development program in Utah, providing irrigation water to several of the State’s rural basins and improving flood control capability and water quality in the area.
