Court Assigned: This case is assigned to Chief Judge K. Michael Moore, U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida, Wilkie D. Ferguson, Jr., U.S. Courthouse, 400 North Miami Ave., FL 33128. Unless noted in an update below, all court events will take place at this location.


UPDATE – September 26, 2018: On September 25, 2018, defendant Dimaria was sentenced to 120 months of imprisonment, followed by three years of supervised release. In addition, defendant DiMaria was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $21, 234,214.

It is important for you to know that just because the Court ordered the defendant to make restitution in this case does not mean that the defendant is financially capable of making restitution at this time. In the event that sufficient restitution payments are received from the defendant, the funds will be distributed by the Clerk of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Florida.


The sentencing hearing for defendant DiMaria on September 11, 2018, has been rescheduled for September 25, 2018, at 2:00 PM.

On June 28, 2018, defendant DiMaria pleaded guilty to one count of conspiracy to make false statements to a public company’s accountants, to falsify a public company’s books and records, and to commit securities fraud, and one count of false statements. As a result of the guilty plea, the trial date for July 9, 2018, has been cancelled.

In addition, a sentencing hearing for defendant DiMaria has been scheduled for September, 11, 2018, at 2:00 PM.


The status hearing for defendant DiMaria on June 27, 2018, has been rescheduled for July 5, 2018, at 2:00 PM.


The trial for defendant Edward J. DiMaria on May 29, 2018 has been rescheduled for July 9, 2018, at 9:00 AM.

The status hearing for defendant DiMaria on May 25, 2018 has been rescheduled for June 27, 2018, at 2:00 PM.


A trial for defendant Edward J. DiMaria has been scheduled for May 29, 2018, at 09:00 AM.

A status hearing is scheduled for defendant DiMaria on May 24, 2018, at 02:00 PM.
