Nepal: ICITAP Leverages Technology to Deliver Job Task Analysis Workshop

On December 7, the ICITAP-Nepal Law Enforcement Assistance Attaché provided an update on ICITAP’s assistance in Nepal. During November, Nepal law enforcement advisors completed a virtual training workshop over several weeks on Job Task Analysis (JTA).  ICITAP conducted the workshop for a group of new advisors, who will be working closely with Nepal Police colleagues on various JTA’s.  Job Task Analysis is a systematic assessment of the knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s), which identify the tasks performed in a position and the competencies/abilities required to perform.  ICITAP advisers have facilitated a job task analysis for Criminal Investigator that will address development/revisions of curriculum, practical application training and career development.  Job Task Analysis is part of the overall strategy under the mission of Nepal Integrated Country Strategy setting up Provincial Policing mandated by the Nepal Constitutional amendment in 2015.  Nepal ICITAP continues to receive support from the Department of State, Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
