Mali: ICITAP-Assisted National Police Launch Automated HR Management System

On November 21, the ICITAP-Mali mission provided an update on its assistance to the Mali National Police (NP). The Mali NP officially launched their enrollment campaign of police personnel into the automated Human Resources Management System provided to them and installed by ICITAP in Mali.  The automation of the HR related records of a force estimated at 15,000 men and women will enable the NP leadership to track their officers, access their training & qualifications, reassign personnel based on policing needs, encourage professional development opportunities among those they supervise and more readily identify potential candidates for promotion.  The enrollment teams were able to enroll a total of 500 officers into the system in their first week that stands as a testament to their commitment and dedication to this task. In Mali, ICITAP works with the support of and in coordination with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs.
