Indonesia: ICITAP Donates Much-Needed Radios to Marine Police

On August 26, during a meeting with the Indonesia National Police (INP) Marine & Aviation Division, the Inspector General was presented with 90 hand-held radios to support INP maritime enforcement activities across the archipelago. The Inspector General was delighted with the donation, which will enhance the safety of the marine police boarding teams when conducting enforcement activities.  During the meeting, the Inspector General was provided an update of ICITAP activities involving the upcoming Data Management System training for marine police administrators and plans for a regional maritime policing workshop in collaboration with the State Department’s Export Control and Related Border Security (EXBS) Program in 2022.  The equipment donation was funded by the State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL).
