Responsibilities
The Transportation, Energy, and Agriculture Section (TEA) is responsible for civil antitrust enforcement, competition advocacy, and competition policy in the areas of:
- Domestic and international aviation
- Business and leisure travel
- Railroads, trucking, and ocean shipping
- Hotels, restaurants, and travel services
- Electricity
- Oil field services
- Food products, crops, seeds, fish, and livestock
- Agricultural biotech

Federal and State Contacts
Transportation, energy, and agriculture matters: TEA works closely on investigations and cases with Federal regulatory agencies and state attorneys general.
Competition advocacy: TEA consults on policy issues with, and engages in formal proceedings before, such regulatory agencies as the Department of Transportation, the Department of Agriculture, the Department of State, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Energy, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, and the Federal Maritime Commission.
