Distribution Of Estimated Quality For Charter And Regular Public Schools In Texas
| This chart depicts two distribution functions over a quality variable for charter and non-charter schools. The non-charter distribution peaks much more sharply at the mean, with correspondingly thin tails, compared to the charter distribution which shows a lower peak, but with much more of the distribution concentrated in the two tails. As a result, the charter distribution has more schools in both the low and high tails of the distribution than the non-charter distribution. |
