Managing Complex Organizations

There are four images together:

1. Complex Organizations - the map of the world continents discussed previously.

2. Financial Performance - a sampe of a financial spreadsheet pointing to the USA section of the map. This image is unreadable.

3. An organizational chart of the Chrysler Group pointing to the USA section of the map. The organizational chart depicts the Chrysler Group. It is divided into three companies - Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep. An icon with the word "consolidated" connects to the Chrysler Group's box.
Dodge is divided into Psgr Cars and Light Trucks. Passenger cars further divides into Sales Office and Plant (95,855 employees; major sales regions: US, Canada, Mexico, Rest of the World). Light Trucks connects to Plant one level down (production locations: S. America (2), Nafta (32), Asia (1), Africa (1)). An icon with the letters "GL" connects to the Dodge box.
Chrysler is divided into Mini Vans and Psgr Cars. Mini Vans divides into Plant (same as Dodge Light Trucks) and Sales Office. Passenger Cars leads into the same Sales Office as Mini Vans.
Jeep leads to SUV's which in turn leads to Sales Office. An icon with the letters "GL" connects to the Dodge box. Jeep's sub-levels are combined together and an icon with the words "Local Tax Books" connects to them. The words "Legal Entity" appear under Sales Office. Product lines for Jeep are Dodge Ram, Minivan, Sebring, Durango; Chrysler: PT, Pacifica, Crossfire; Jeep: Wrangler, Cherokee.

4. GL & Chart of Accounts - a chart of assets and liabilities.
The assets are comprised of current and fixed assets. The current assets are cash, accts receivable, inventory (15100-Supplies and 15200-Gifts). The liabilities are comprised of current liabilities (current debt and accts payable), debt, and retain. earnings.
