Smart on Crime Initiative: Reentry – 2016 District of New Mexico Reentry Symposium

U.S. Attorney Damon P. Martinez joined Chief U.S. District Judge M. Christina Armijo, Chief Probation Officer Margaret Vigil and Federal Public Defender Stephen McCue to provide welcoming remarks at the District’s inaugural reentry event entitled:  “Prison and Beyond:  In Their Own Voices.”  Four formerly incarcerated individuals provided in-depth personal accounts of their journeys through the criminal justice system.  The event was hosted by the U.S. Probation and Pretrial Office, the Federal Public Defender’s Office, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
