Countering Violent Extremism: The Los Angeles Model

Los Angeles Model

On February 18 and 19, 2015, President Barack Obama hosted the “White House Summit on Countering Violent Extremism.” Senior administration officials, including Attorney General Eric Holder, federal, state and local law enforcement officials, including Acting United States Attorney for the Central District of California, Stephanie Yonekura, and community members and stakeholders from Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and Boston all participated in the Summit. Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo also joined the participants. Click on the picture above to access a link to an original eleven-minute Film entitled Countering Violent Extremism: The Los Angeles Model, which was created by Ken Arlidge of AeroFilm, in association with the Los Angeles Police Department and members of the Los Angeles Community. The Film was unveiled to the public at the White House Summit as part of the overall presentation by the Los Angeles Community.
