The Justice Department hosted a convening with the additive manufacturing industry, members of academia, and law enforcement partners on combating the production of unlawful machinegun conversion devices, which convert semi-automatic firearms into fully automatic machineguns.

Deputy Attorney General Lisa Monaco, ATF Director Steven Dettelbach, and U.S. Attorney Christopher Kavanaugh for the Western District of Virginia delivered opening remarks.
