Today, the Department of Justice released a list of more than 100 celebrities who have lent their names in support of the Department’s "Join the List" initiative to raise public awareness on issues around violence against women.
Their participation serves as a declaration that they support ending violence against women, including domestic violence, teen dating violence and intimate partner abuse. The release of the list coincides with the national It’s Time to Talk Day. It’s Time to Talk Day, coordinated by the Liz Claiborne Inc., is one day dedicated to ensuring that Americans speak-up about domestic, sexual and teen dating violence and its goal is to spark a national conversation about violence against women and teen dating abuse.
