On July 30, U.S. Embassy Pristina continued its support to Kosovo rule of law institutions during the COVID-19 pandemic when the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) delivered a donation of personal protective equipment to the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo (PIK). The masks, gloves, and sanitizer will allow PIK to continue its essential function of investigating allegations of police misconduct and inspecting law enforcement processes. The INL Director in Kosovo expressed the US Government's commitment to supporting law enforcement institutions in Kosovo and continuing to support PIK in building professional capacity. ICITAP-Kosovo’s Attaché, who attended the ceremony as well, expressed ICITAP’s continued support to PIK in the future. The Acting PIK CEO thanked INL and ICITAP for the donation and the continuous support in the field of trainings, various equipment and professional advices.
