Dominican Republic: ICITAP Designs Communication Skills Training for New Police Director

On August 29, ICITAP’s mission in the Dominican Republic designed a training program to strengthen the communication and relationship skills of the new Director-General. This training includes topics such as developing the institutional narrative, personal narrative, digital and face-to-face communication skills, communicating police transformation (Thematic and Programmatic Agenda), leading police culture, and relationships with specific groups. This personalized training began on August 29 and will progress with periodic two-hour sessions. During these sessions, mentoring is provided on various styles of relationships with the community as well as other aspects of Police Transformation. In the DR, ICITAP works with the support of and in coordination with the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).
