On July 15, ICITAP’s Central America mission facilitated a webinar for forensic laboratories in Latin America titled “Internal Audits in the Time of COVID-19: Experiences from Costa Rica and Mexico.”

On July 13, the ICITAP-supported proposal outlining the methodology for developing the new strategic plan was presented to Central Directorate of Planning for the Dominican National Police.

On July 8, ICITAP-Indonesia collaborated with the Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance and Training (OPDAT) to deliver a webinar roundtable discussion, which focused on Trafficking-in-Persons (TIP) matters in Batam, Riau Islands Province.  Batam is located in close proximity to Singapore and is widely recognized as a hotbed for Migrant Worker Trafficking, Sexual Exploitation Trafficking, and Indentured Servitude onboard foreign-flagged fishing vessels.

On July 8, ICITAP-Mexico, with the assistance of ICITAP-HQ, hosted the sixth in a series of virtual conferences designed to assist forensic experts in accredited and non-accredited forensic laboratories across Mexico and Latin American.

On July 8, the ICITAP-Bangladesh mission coordinated with the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (INDO-PACOM) and assisted the U.S. Ambassador in handing over personal protective equipment (PPE) to senior leadership of the Bangladesh Police at Police Headquarters.

On July 7, the National Police of Ukraine (NPU) presented the ICITAP-Ukraine Mission with a “Certificate of Gratitude.”

On July 3, the Police Inspectorate of Kosovo (PIK) marked the 14th anniversary of their establishment.

On July 1, ICITAP-Mexico, with the assistance of ICITAP-Central America, hosted the fifth in a series of virtual conferences designed to assist forensic experts in accredited and non-accredited forensic laboratories across Mexico and Latin American by addressing the top ten non-conformities found by accrediting bodies on accreditation inspections or surveillance visits.

On June 25, ICITAP-Montenegro and Montenegro’s Police Academy signed an agreement on the donation of computer equipment. Special emphasis was placed on systematized training on organized crime and transnational organized crime, joint investigation teams, human trafficking and similar training.
