What about mistresses? If the rules are going to be changed to include gay/lesbian domestic partners and/or fiancé's, then I think that mistresses should be included too. I imagine it would be just as easy for them to show the economic and non-economic impact on them as a result of victim's death. They are all in the same boat - not recognized by the laws of most states as legal heirs. I think you have to open it up to all situations, or none. While we are at it, what about pets? They are after all "mans BEST friend".
I am again hearing on the news/reading in the papers about how are "warnings of future attacks" are being reemphasized. New information coming in every day. I STILL have not heard anything about plans for a comparable "fund" for ALL FUTURE VICTIMS OF TERRORISM. This needs to be addressed/resolved BEFORE ONE PENNY IS DISPERSED FROM THIS FUND.
