Dear Attorney General Ashcroft,
The attack on America was an attack on all Americans--- regardless of sexual
orientation, socioeconomic status, or race. Two very good friends of mine,
both married, worked for and both are still missing. One
man left behind a pregnant wife, who just delivered a baby 3 weeks ago.
Thank god she is going to receive all of the benefits that she deserves and
I only hope that everyone who lost a partner or loved one can experience the
same level of support. Please do not discriminate against the unmarried
partners of September 11th victims. All unmarried partners, gay or straight,
young and old and their dependents should be eligible for compensation.
