Victim's Compensation

To Whom It May Concern:

First I would recommend that you read the New York Times' "Portraits of Grief" section daily. It puts a face on each and every victim of this horrendous attack. Then I would ask you to reflect on the innocent children that have been affected for the rest of their lives.

And, here is my two cents - the government should come up with a flat figure (for example, $250,000 per person - please feel free to go higher). If a family has three remaining members they would receive $750,000. In addition, the charitable organizations should compensate each family and the government should mind it's own business when it comes to these compensations. The money the charitable organizations have received was sent in by the world public specifically for the families affected. They should distribute EVERY PENNY!!

The businesses affected should be compensated by the city, state and federal governments. They should not be compensated by the charitable donations.

Lastly, these compensation decisions should be made quickly. The families have suffered enough - they should not have to worry how they are going to make their rent/mortgage payments. Please show the world what a compassionate nation we can truly be.

Sincerely,
