I am sending this email to ask that you strongly consider providing gay and lesbian partners the same compensation provide to others who lost significant partners in the September 11th travesty.
This is not a time to selectively provide just and reasonable treatment.
Consider in your mind that gay and lesbian citizens worked at the WTC, gay and lesbian citizens are helping to recover the lost, gay and lesbian citizens cared for the injured, and gay and lesbian citizens are fighting in Afghanistan to make this world a better place.
Why would we not provide them equal treatment?
