compensation for terrorist victims
Kenneth L. Zwick, Director
Office of Management Programs, Civil Division
U.S. Department of Justice
Dear Mr. Zwick,
I hope very much that those in your department who are drafting the
guidelines for compensation to be given out to victims of the Sept.
11 terrorist attacks will see to it that NO ONE is excluded from such
compensation because they may be the surviving partners or children
of gay or lesbian individuals who were killed in the attack. Such
discrimination against any innocent victims would be the grossest
injustice. It's hard to believe that any government department acting
as the agent of the United States would even consider such blatantly
prejudiced action.
Please pass my strong protests against such bias on to all those who
may be connected with the victims' fund.
Sincerely,
Individual Comment
