September 11 Victim Compensation
Mr. Kenneth L. Zwick, Director
Office of Management Programs, Civil Division
U.S. Department of Justice
Dear Mr. Zwick:
I strongly urge the Justice Department to adopt a policy of fairness and
equality toward the bereaved survivors of September 11 victims. New York's
Governor Pataki has already recognized that families in today's America
include many varieties of relationships.
Given the intolerance of the monsters who brought this atrocity upon us, our
own government should give a shining example of tolerance by recognizing that
surviving same sex partners suffer just like everyone else and deserve the
same assistance. I cannot overemphasize how important the Department's
decision will be.
Sincerely,
Individual Comment
