As per the solicitation of the Justice Department for public input on the
rulemaking decisions for compensation to families of victims of September
11, 2001, I am writing to express my opinion on the adoption of rules that
are inclusive of gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered people and their
families who suffered from the attacks.
I am in complete support of laws that include compensation for the above
mentioned groups as survivors of the victims. Those who actually suffered
losses as a result of the death of a loved one should share the right to
compensation. I feel that this is the only humane response to what has
happened.
Thank you,
