MOUNT HOPE MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO FEDERAL DRUG CHARGES
Roy Davis Bolen, 59, of Mount Hope, West Virginia, pleaded guilty yesterday before United States District Judge Irene C. Berger to distribution of cocaine. Bolen admitted that on May 17, 2011, he met with a confidential informant working with the West Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal
Investigations near Bradley, Raleigh County, to complete a drug transaction. The defendant admitted that he sold 4.53 grams of cocaine to the informant.
Bolen face up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine when he is sentenced on November 9, 2011.
The investigation was conducted by the West Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigations. Assistant United States Attorney John File is in charge of the prosecution.
