Martinsburg Resident Enters Plea to Firearms Charge

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 27 year old Martinsburg, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on June 18, 2012, in United States District Court in Martinsburg before Magistrate Judge David J. Joel.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: MARVIN CHRISTOPHER STEVENSON entered a plea of guilty to Possession of Ammunition in Berkeley County, on December 5, 2009, during a shooting at the Apple Harvest Drive Sheetz gas station which left the victim of the shooting a quadriplegic, after having previously been convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year. STEVENSON was convicted on October 17, 2003, of Manufacturing, Distributing, Dispensing a Controlled Dangerous Substance, in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City; on January 31, 2006, of Manufacturing, Distributing, Dispensing a Controlled Dangerous Substance, in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City; and, on December 26, 2006, of Assault Second Degree on Law Enforcement Officer, in the Circuit Court for Baltimore City. STEVENSON, who is in custody pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of a mandatory 15 years to life imprisonment and a fine of $250,000. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Erin K. Reisenweber and was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
