Pennsylvania Resident Sentenced on Cocaine Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A Corapolis, Pennsylvania, resident was sentenced on January 24, 2012, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:

FRED VENNIE, age 46, was sentenced to 33 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. VENNIE entered a plea of guilty on July 18, 2011, to one count of conspiracy to distribute cocaine between February of 2007 and April of 2007 in Fairmont, West Virginia, and Mt. Morris, Pennsylvania. VENNIE, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Andrew R. Cogar and was investigated by the West Virginia State Police-Bureau of Criminal Investigation and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
