Fairmont Resident Sentenced in Federal Court

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 58 year old Fairmont, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on January 11, 2012, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: PHILLIP CHRISTIAN LANDMEIER was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment to be followed by 6 years of supervised release. LANDMEIER entered a plea of guilty on August 10, 2011, to one count of failure to register as a sex offender on August 8, 2008, in Fairmont. LANDMEIER was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Perri and was investigated by the United States Marshals Service.
