Wheeling Resident Sentenced on Child Pornography Charge

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA — A 35 year old Wheeling, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on January 19, 2012, in United States District Court in Wheeling by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: JEREMY ROBERT CRINKEY was sentenced to 46 months imprisonment, to be followed by five years of supervised release. CRINKEY entered a plea of guilty on November 8, 2011, to one count of possession of child pornography on January 28, 2011, in Wheeling. CRINKEY, who is free on bond, will self-report to the designated Federal institution on February 21, 2012.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Randolph J. Bernard and was investigated by the West Virginia State Police-Bureau of Criminal Investigations.
