Fairmont Resident Sentenced on Firearms Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 47-year old Fairmont, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on December 12, 2012, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that: RANDY HAMRICK, was sentenced to 37 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. HAMRICK entered a plea of guilty on August 30, 2012, to Possession of a Firearm on April
1, 2012, in Clarksburg, after having been previously being convicted in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio for threats against the President and in the Court of Common Pleas of Lake County, Ohio for aggravated assault with a physical harm specification. HAMRICK was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution

This case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn A. Morgan and was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
