Seven Sentenced for Federal Probation Violations

WHEELING, WEST VIRGINIA - United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced the recent sentencings of seven individuals after their supervised release or probation was revoked for various violations.

The specific information is as follows:

SCOTT MICHAEL DERSIN, age 31, of Fort Ashby, West Virginia, was sentenced by Chief Judge John Preston Bailey to an additional 24 months of imprisonment for committing another crime while on supervised release and illegally possessing a controlled substance. DERSIN was initially sentenced to 84 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release for possessing a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking crime. The United States Attorney's Office was represented at the hearing by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner.

BORFORD BLEDSOE, of Wheeling, West Virginia, was sentenced by Judge Irene M. Keeley to an additional 15 months of imprisonment to be served consecutive to a state sentence which he is currently serving. BLEDSOE’s supervised release was revoked for his state conviction of distribution of cocaine base committed while on supervised release; testing positive for drugs; and for technical violations. BLEDSOE was initially sentenced to 57 months imprisonment for the distribution of cocaine base. BLEDSOE is in federal custody. The United States Attorney’s Office was represented at the hearing by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn Angus Morgan.

RHONDA GASPARRO, age 45, of Moorefield, West Virginia, was sentenced by Chief Judge Bailey to 12 months and one day of imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release and ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $108,092.00 to Social Security Administration, Debt Managment Section, for violations of the conditions of her supervised release. GASPARRO was initially sentenced to five years probation, with the first six months on home detention with electronic monitoring for the misuse of social security benefits. The United States Attorney's Office was represented at the hearing by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner.

STACY MARIE LONGWELL, age 24, of Enterprise, West Virginia, was sentenced by Judge Keeley to an additional six months of imprisonment to be followed by 66 months supervised release for testing positive for drugs; failure to work regularly at a lawful occupation; and failure to notify the United States Probation Office at least 10 days prior to changing residence. LONGWELL was initially sentenced to 36 months imprisonment to be followed by six years supervised release for the distribution of crack cocaine within 1,000 feet of a protected location. LONGWELL is in federal custody. The United States Attorney’s Office was represented at the hearing by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn Angus Morgan.

MARY KATHERINE DAVIS, age 28, of Martinsburg, West Virginia, was sentenced by Chief Judge Bailey to an additional six months of imprisonment for failure to make her scheduled counseling sessions and using drugs while on probation. DAVIS was initially sentenced to two years probation for making a false statement to a federal officer. DAVIS was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal. The United States Attorney’s Office was represented at the hearing by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti.

CHARLES WILLIAM BEEVER, age 46, of Wheeling, West Virginia, was sentenced by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr. to an additional five months imprisonment for leaving the judicial district without permission of the Court and being arrested and charged with Drunk in Public, Cruelty to Animals and Domestic Battery while on supervised release. BEEVER was initially sentenced to four months imprisonment to be followed by two years supervised release for communication of a bomb threat. BEEVER was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal. The United States Attorney’s Office was represented at the hearing by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Perri.

ROY CROW, age 26, of Moundsville, West Virginia, was sentenced by Judge Frederick P. Stamp, Jr. to an additional five months of imprisonment to be followed by 24 months supervised release for possession of a controlled substance and domestic battery while on supervised release. CROW was initially sentenced to 12 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release for possession of stolen firearms. CROW was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal. The United States Attorney’s Office was represented at the hearing by Assistant United States Attorney David J. Perri.
