Two Former Morgantown Residents Enter Pleas of Guilty
in Federal Court
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - Two New Jersey residents entered pleas of guilty last week in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II announced that:
NELSON COELHO, age 23, formerly of Morgantown, West Virginia, entered a plea of guilty on September 15, 2011, to one count of distribution of oxycodone hydrochloride within 1,000 feet of West Virginia University on March 29, 2011. COELHO, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of 1 to 40 years imprisonment and a fine of $2,000,000.
MICHAEL PRIOLO, age 23, formerly of Morgantown, West Virginia, entered a plea of guilty on September 16, 2011, to one count of distribution of oxycodone hydrochloride within 1,000 feet of West Virginia University on April 12, 2011. PRIOLO, who is free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum exposure of 1 to 40 years imprisonment and a fine of $2,000,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley and was investigated by the Mon Valley Drug Task Force, consisting of officers from the Morgantown Police Department, the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
