Harrison County Resident Sentenced in Federal Court

 

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA - A 22 year old Clarksburg, West Virginia, resident was sentenced on September 22, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that SEAN CHRISTOPHER ADAMS was sentenced to 51 months imprisonment to be followed by three years of supervised release. ADAMS entered a plea of guilty on June 20, 2011, to one count of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine in Harrison County on April 15, 2011. ADAMS was remanded to the custody of the United States Marshal pending designation to a Federal institution.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Zelda E. Wesley and was investigated by the Harrison County Drug Task Force (consisting of officers from the Clarksburg Police Department and the Bridgeport Police Department) and the Three Rivers Drug Task Force (consisting of officers from the Fairmont Police Department and the Monongah Police Department).
