Three Federal Inmates Sentenced

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — Three federal inmates were sentenced on June 1, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg by Judge Irene M. Keeley.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:

WILLIAM JOLLY, age 36, an inmate at USP Hazelton, was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment to be run consecutive to his current sentence. JOLLY entered a plea of guilty to a one-count Information charging him with assault with a dangerous weapon on September 2, 2010, at USP Hazelton. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services Unit at USP Hazelton.

ANTONIO HALFACRE, age 22, an inmate at FCI Gilmer, was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment to run consecutive to his current sentence. HALFACRE entered a plea of guilty to a one-count Information charging him with possession of a 7 ½ inch long homemade weapon, also known as a shank, on January 26, 2010, at FCI Gilmer. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services Unit at FCI Gilmer.

SERGIO COVARRUBIAS, age 29, an inmate at USP Hazelton, was sentenced to six months imprisonment to run consecutive to his current sentence. COVARRUBIAS entered a plea of guilty to a one-count information charging him with aiding and abetting the assault of another inmate with a dangerous weapon on March 30, 2010. The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Special Investigative Services Unit at USP Hazelton.

The cases were prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Brandon S. Flower.
