Pittsburgh Resident Entered Guilty Plea to Drug Charge
CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 38 year old Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, resident entered a plea of guilty on June 21, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Judge Irene M. Keeley.
United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that TANJI CURTIS entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging CURTIS with possession with intent to distribute “crack” cocaine on January 21, 2010, in Clarksburg. CURTIS, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 40 years imprisonment and a fine of $2,000,000.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Shawn Angus Morgan. The case was investigated by the Harrison County Drug & Violent Crime Task Force, consisting of officers from the Clarksburg Police Department, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, and the Bridgeport Police Department.
