Eleven Sentenced on Cocaine and Heroin Charges

MARTINSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — Eleven individuals were sentenced on January 24 and 25, 2011, in United States District Court in Martinsburg by Chief Judge John Preston Bailey.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that:

ROBERT GILBERT COOK, age 52, of Charles Town, West Virginia, was sentenced to 41 months imprisonment to be followed by four years supervised release. COOK entered a plea of guilty on September 7, 2010, to a one-count Information charging him with aiding and abetting the distribution of “crack” cocaine on January 5, 2010. COOK is currently free on bond and will self-report to a designated federal institution. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti. The case was investigated by the Charles Town Police Department; the Ranson Police Department; and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.

WILLIAM STEFANKO, age 51, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, was sentenced to 15 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. STEFANKO entered a plea of guilty on August 23, 2010, to one count of an Indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute heroin on March 15, 2009. STEFANKO is currently free on bond and will self-report to a designated federal institution. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti. The case was investigated by the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force and the West Virginia State Police. The Task Force consists of the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigation, the Martinsburg Police Department, and the Berkeley County Sheriff’s Department.

CRAIG JOHNSON, age 22, of Brooklyn, New York, was sentenced to 60 months imprisonment to be followed by four years supervised release. ORSON NOEL, age 22, also of Brooklyn, was sentenced to 24 months imprisonment.

JOHNSON entered a plea of guilty on August 4, 2010, to one count of an Indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute “crack” cocaine base on June 5, 2008, in Martinsburg. JOHNSON is in federal custody.

NOEL entered a plea of guilty on May 24, 2010, to one count of an Indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute “crack” cocaine base on June 5, 2008, in Martinsburg. NOEL is in federal custody.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Erin K. Reisenweber and was investigated by the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force.

ROBERT FRY, age 53, of Martinsburg, was sentenced to 151 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. FRY entered a plea of guilty on May 24, 2010, to one count of an Indictment charging him with the distribution of “crack” cocaine on June 7, 2007, in Martinsburg. FRY, who is in federal custody, was found to be a Career Offender based upon his prior criminal convictions.

CLEVON TYRONE HARRISON, age 31, originally from Charleston, South Carolina, was sentenced to 70 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. HARRISON entered a plea of guilty on June 23, 2010, to one count of an Indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute “crack” cocaine on January 4, 2007, in Martinsburg. HARRISON is in federal custody.

The cases were prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Erin K. Reisenweber and were investigated by the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force.

KEVIN SYLVESTER HENRY, age 26, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was sentenced to 33 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. HENRY entered a plea of guilty on June 28, 2010, to one count of an Indictment charging him with the distribution of “crack” cocaine on April 15, 2008, in Martinsburg. HENRY is in federal custody.

STEPHEN LIONEL HICKMAN, age 49, of Martinsburg, was sentenced to eight months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. HICKMAN entered a plea of guilty on October 13, 2010, to one count of an Indictment charging him with the distribution of “crack” cocaine on February 7, 2008, in Martinsburg. HICKMAN is in federal custody.

The cases were prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Thomas O. Mucklow and were investigated by the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force.

MICHELLE EVETTE CRAIG, age 28, of Hagerstown, Maryland, was sentenced to 18 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. CRAIG entered a plea of guilty on July 15, 2010, to one count of an Indictment charging her with the distribution of “crack” cocaine on February 25, 2010. CRAIG is in federal custody. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Thomas O. Mucklow. The case was investigated by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.

BRIAN J. GROVE, age 21, of Martinsburg, was sentenced to 12 months and one day imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. GROVE entered a plea of guilty on September 3, 2010, to a one-count Indictment charging him with possession with intent to distribute “crack” cocaine on May 29, 2009, in Martinsburg. GROVE is currently free on bond and will self-report to a designated federal institution. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Erin K. Reisenweber and was investigated by the Martinsburg Police Department.

DWAYNE DANA LEWIS, age 34, of Charles Town, was sentenced to 33 months imprisonment to be followed by three years supervised release. LEWIS entered a plea of guilty on May 21, 2010, to one count of an Indictment charging him with the distribution of “crack” cocaine on August 24, 2009. LEWIS is in federal custody. The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Paul T. Camilletti. The case was investigated by the Charles Town Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms & Explosives.
