Tallmansville Resident Entered Guilty Plea
to Methamphetamine Charge

CLARKSBURG, WEST VIRGINIA — A 20 year old Tallmansville, West Virginia, resident entered a plea of guilty on January 20, 2011, in United States District Court in Clarksburg before Magistrate Judge John S. Kaull.

United States Attorney William J. Ihlenfeld, II, announced that GARRETT J. JANKOWSKI entered a plea of guilty to one count of an Indictment charging him with conspiracy to intentionally possess pseudoephedrine having reasonable cause to believe that it would be used to illegally manufacture methamphetamine from July 2008 to June 13, 2009, in Upshur County.

JANKOWSKI, who is currently free on bond pending sentencing, faces a maximum penalty of 20 years imprisonment and a fine of $250,000.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Stephen D. Warner. The case was investigated by the West Virginia State Police; the West Virginia State Police - Bureau of Criminal Investigations; and the Upshur County Sheriff’s Department.
